Events

I have appeared at book festivals and storytelling festivals for over 20 years.

Most of my events are a mixture of the ancient African folktales that I perform and the modern African fiction that I write.

I love coming face to face with my readers – seeing their faces as I tell them stories, and answering their curious questions.

It’s one of my favourite things to do.

Events I have done include the Hay Festival, Beyond the Borders Storytelling Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Southbank Theatre, Bath Kids Lit Festival, Cheltenham Literature Festival …!
